PARK presents Underpaintings & Overpaintings, a solo exhibition by Jacqueline Peeters, on view from May 17 to June 29. Central to her work is the notion of transformation: existing paintings are overpainted, revisited, and infused with new layers of meaning. The result is a layered image that speaks to both continuity and transience.
The exhibition features large new paintings alongside a monumental installation of ‘floor paintings’. On the upper level, window decals reference these works, accompanied by explanatory wall texts.
Peeters also presents smaller text-based pieces and has created a special PARK edition titled Paintings by followers—a series of seven unique textile-on-paper works.
The opening takes place on Saturday, May 17 at 4pm, with an introduction by Dominic van den Boogerd. You are warmly invited. On this day, PARK will be open from 3pm.
