THIS BEING A TEMPORARY STRUCTURE

solo exhibition Wessel Verrijt
31.10 - 13.12 2026

In his solo exhibition This Being a Temporary Structure, Wessel Verrijt (1992) presents a continuously evolving ecosystem of sculptures brought to life through human movement. Built from discarded industrial materials such as wood, textiles, metal, and cardboard, the sculptures are continually assembled, dismantled, and reborn, forming a morphing group of organisms that grows, expands, and decays.

For the soundscape, Verrijt collaborates with sound artist Macarena Aguilar Tau. The costumes, developed with Celine Caly, are worn by a group of performers.

The exhibition opens on October 31st at 4:00 PM and will be accompanied by a continuous performance. Visitors are free to come and go as they please, wandering through an exhibition in constant motion. You are warmly welcome!

On regular exhibition days, sculptures, soundscape, and video works can be viewed.
