SCHEMERGEBIED

exhibition Vince Donders, Maartje Korstanje
21.02 - 05.04 2026

PARK presents the duo exhibition Schemergebied (Twilight Zone) by Maartje Korstanje and Vince Donders, two sculptors who each reflect on the relationship between humans and nature from a strong sense of commitment. Their work shares a fascination with processes of transformation and moves between growth and decay, construction and destruction, life and transience.

Maartje Korstanje (Goes, 1982) creates sculptures and installations from natural and perishable materials such as clay, papier-mâché, textiles and cardboard. In her work, she explores how organic forms arise, decay and take shape again. Her sculptures seem to be the tangible end point of a growth process — fragile, yet vital — and resonate with thinking about the symbiocene, in which cooperation between humans and other life forms is central.

Vince Donders (Tilburg, 1991) constructs installations from waste and industrial residual and construction materials. Themes such as overconsumption, ecological depletion and resilience form his starting point. His works are ominous, dystopian in nature and balance between post-industrial archaeology and science fiction.

In this duo presentation, their worlds meet: both artists operate at the intersection of ecology and imagination. Together, they create a layered environment at PARK in which synthetic and organic, present and future, destruction and creation are extensions of each other. Their work invites reflection on the role of humans within a constantly changing ecosystem.

The opening will take place on Saturday 21 February at 4pm. You are most welcome to attend.
PARK will be open from 3pm. on that day.
