On the final day of the Quadrilogue exhibition, curator Neil Fortune and participating artists Christiaan Bastiaans, Valerie van Leersum, Yasser Ballemans and Yda Sinay will give a guided tour. They will talk about their work and contributions to the exhibition.
This will be followed by a performance by Frimangron. Frimangron is an improvisational duo consisting of Emiel Scholsberg (guitar, vocals) and Koen Wijnen (drums). Frimangron's improvisations are about the power of fighting for freedom and the search for freedom in modern life. Frimangron means “free man's land” (named after the neighbourhood in Suriname where Emiel's roots lie). The language used for vocals in Frimangron is therefore Surinamese. Freedom and connection through music is at the heart of what the duo wants to convey.
