In this multidisciplinary art project, artists Jan Van Den Dobbelsteen and Arash Fakhim will apply 'parsing', attempting to unravel and reinterpret the complexity of interaction and communication.
The project will consist of multiple multimedia installations that reflect various aspects of encounters and the passage of time. Image, sound, text, and video will be combined to create a reflective experience.
Jan Van Den Dobbelsteen: ‘Parsing is discovering, unravelling and analysing a deeper meaning of fundamental structures in image, language, materiality, art. The research takes place by using the many possibilities present in a multimedia environment. From classical media to new forms of presentation and installation. Endless combinations of image and sound, moving image, architecture. Metamorphosis, shapeshifting or transfiguration is a change of body, or generally of form, structure, character, appearance or circumstance in a development.’
