Stijn Peeters made this 3 by 4.3 meter drawing with the motto “And Once the old World has turned on its Axle so that the new Dawn can dawn then, ah, then...", a qoute from Angela Carter. The work features a rich constellation of historical references. The intention is that the work can be seen in public space as much as possible in order to initiate a discussion about our future.
He put up this image on his site to be downloaded freely, it can be printed in a range of sizes in order be shown in all sorts of places. He says: 'I hope that doing so will foster social discourse about what “a new dawn” could look like. What is it that we dream of, what can we not do without, and how can we help each other to make the world just a little more inviting and humane?'
