As a poet and sociologist, Trijntje van de Wouw (1998) is fascinated by everything that cannot be easily said because of shame or taboos. Hen writes prosaic poetry in which heavy themes are made accessible with humor. In their poems, Trijntje explores the dark corners of human desire and the shadow sides of our nature.
Trijntje has published in Hard Hoofd, Op Ruwe Planken, Notulen van het Onzichtbare, the
collection of The Dutch Poetry Contest and Wobby, among others. She has also appeared on various stages, including Het Noordbrabants Museum, De Pont and Poets in de Prinsentuin. Currently Trijntje is part of the talent development project WOLK Letteren and is working with Watershed on a chapbook. Trijntje studied sociology with a minor in creative writing, and earned their degree in the master's degree in social inequality at Erasmus University. This background has shaped them as an autonomous poet, (writing) workshop facilitator and project manager of polarization & participation at a municipality.
Trijntje reacts to the exhibition Op een haar na by Ruben Bellinkx. The performance is on Saturday, December 21 at 3.30 pm.
