Tessa van Rooijen (she/her, 1998) studied Creative Writing and Philosophy of Mind and Psychology. She writes poetry and prose about alienation, mental health, queerness and feminism, using magical-realist elements and nature imagery. 
She won the New Types Graduation Award, joined Frontal Writers Camp, and her work has previously appeared on DIG, Paper Heroes and Hard//Hoofd. She was also featured at the Winter Garden Festival, Poets in the Prinsentuin and Nijmegen Art Night. She is currently part of the writers collective Wildgewelf and editor at Seizoenszine.

Tessa reacts to the exhibition Novel Tongues. The performance is on Saturday, May 10 at 3.30 pm.
