Nuno Silva is an eclectic saxophonist, interdisciplinary artist and pedagogue. Born and raised in Portugal and living in the Netherlands already for 6 years. He’s aiming for new interdisciplinary creations, chamber music and solo live electronics projects. Since the beginning of his musical activity often collaborates with all kinds of artists and creators in order to connect, nurture and explore new paths of expression.
His mindset lead him to collaborate with a diverse range of groups and styles such as the Radio Filharmonish Orkest, Ensemble Klang, Neo-fanfare 9x13, Orkest de Ereprijs, Orquestra Sinfónica Casa da Música, Oniros Ensemble, Authark III, and some institutions such as PARK, Kunstpodium T, EELT Theatercollectief, Het Concreet, NieuweNoten Amsterdam, de Link. He is the co-founder of [uan] duo, ION collective and Vector Quintet.
To highlight the co-creations 'El Meu amor, la meua Mort' by ION Collective, Opera inpired in the poetry of Vincent Estellés; 'Fotosynthese' together with K.O.P. and C.Y.M, an immersive heartbeat-synchronization experience, and 'Re-nacer' with the pole dancer/actress Laura Mendez and the textile artist Cristian Velásquez.
Nuno Silva is endorsed by Henri-Selmer Paris saxophones.
