PARK brings together Michiel Kluiters and Femke Dekkers because their work is related in a surprising way, but at the same time feels completely different. Although photography is their shared medium, they rather consider themselves visual artists who think and work spatially.
Both make images in which space is central, as something you can feel, enter or imagine. They build, paint and stage with an eye for detail, but their working method remains temporary, contrived and intuitive. It is precisely this investigative nature that makes it exciting to bring their work together in PARK's space. Here, the boundary between their approaches to space shifts - and a new dialogue emerges.
